Welcome….. to the Prudence Crandall School’s website for the school year, 2009-2010!  It is our hope that this website will be an informative home/school/community communication that will keep everyone updated on all of the ongoing learning projects and events at our school.  We are very proud of our students (the Crandall Cougars) and the many other dedicated teachers/staff members/parents in our school community!

Our school community has a population of 430 students, 40 teachers, 25 other support staff, three community business partnerships, a hardworking PTO (Parent Teacher Organization), and supportive dedicated parents that work hard to promote academic and social excellence for our children. 

Our academic expectations/school goals are to improve and continue to build strong reading and math skills.   Let’s remember to read and practice math, everyday!  Furthermore, the social expectations/school goals of displaying kindness, respect and responsibility continue to be reinforced daily by modeling and classroom community supports.  A monthly positive character program, school leadership activities, and community service projects are some other ways our students are learning positive social skills.

The Prudence Crandall School Home School Partnerships are so vital!  They support and encourage our students to achieve their best in school to become productive citizens, as well as lifelong learners!  I hope all of our parents/guardians will continue to communicate regularly with your child’s teacher, monitor nightly homework, volunteer and attend school events, activities and field trips, when you are able to.
